Backup & restore

Export your full inventory to a backup file you control. Use the same file later to seed a fresh install or audit your data.

  1. Open Settings › Data.
  2. Tap Export data and choose what to back up: Inventory, Expiring items, or Usage history. Pick CSV for spreadsheet tools or JSON for a structured backup.
  3. The exported file is written to the app's documents directory and named with a timestamp (e.g. healthcare_inventory_1714492800000.json). Move it to your preferred storage (Files, Drive, Dropbox, …).
  4. Clear all data permanently deletes inventory, scan history, and usage records on this device. Use it only when you have a fresh export saved.

To restore, reinstall the app and re-import the JSON file via the Inventory screen's import flow, or rely on cloud sync (Settings › Account & Sync) to repopulate from your linked Google Drive folder.
